Chester Food & Drink Festival

As the adopted charity of the Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival, Volunteers from the Centre were very helpful in fundraising for the centre over the Easter Weekend.

Our key message at this festival was healthy living and positive lifestyles. We were demonstrating how Wii can be used as a exercise toll and also a rehab equipment for people who suffer from balance issue.

There was a cooking demonstration by Centre member, Trustee and former chef, Barry Thomas. Barry took to the stage and created a delicious feast of Chirk Fishery smoked trout and pan fried filet of Welsh Lamb from Hoptons the Butcher in Hoole. Barry has had MS for the past 10 years, but it doesn’t stop him doing the things he loves.

On the whole it was a fantastic event, rounded off by the Gala Dinner. We have raised around £3,000 for the Centre over this weekend. A very huge thank you to everyone who supported us at the event.
