MS Challenge 2009

The 2009 MS Challenge took place over the weekend of 3-5 July. 8 teams accepted the challenge this year on behalf of the Chester MS Support Centre, carrying their MS passengers in wheelchairs over a course set up on Forestry Commission land at Capel Curig in the foothills of Snowdon. The challenge, as always, is to carry the passenger safely around the 10km course – and raise as much cash as possible for the Centre. This year the challenge was made more interesting by

the light drizzle that continued over the weekend. One team - Whitchurch Rugby Club (in drag) – carried Alison Smithson from the Chester Centre over a few puddles and raised over £2,000 for the Centre’s funds.
